On 17 and 18 November 2009, a P&T delegation comprising the DT marketing manager, Luc Welter, and the international sales manager, Micael Weber, took part in the Digital TV World Summit in London.

Over the 2 days, the conference brought together over one hundred decision-makers and managers from leading companies in the television and telecommunications industry, such as BSkyB, BBC, ITV, TDF, SES, Universal, Telefonica, Eutelsat, NDS, Sling Media, Numéricable, Liberty Global/UPC, Nokia, etc. The aim of this seminar was for P&T to present its Teralink connectivity network, its data centres and its satellite uplink.

Following a speech by Romain Bausch, Chief Executive Officer of SES, Luc Welter gave a speech on the advantages of Luxembourg and P&T for media and telecommunications companies, focusing mainly on the structural benefits, and the advantages in terms of infrastructure and the tax regime in Luxembourg. He also took part as a speaker on a panel dealing with the dangers of triple play for television alongside Telefonica and Numéricable.

The conference was also an opportunity to get an overview of the latest developments in television: 3D high definition, interactive advertising targeted according to customer profile, TV streaming via Internet, multiplication of themed channels, new content formats, etc.

A P&T stand in the lobby also enabled us to make numerous fruitful contacts and draw attention to P&T, with meetings being set up as a result.
