Samsung launches voice, gesture recognition TV in Brazil

(Telecompaper) Samsung has announced the launch of the ES7000 range of TV sets on 17 May in Brazil, bringing the technology of voice and human gesture recognition, making it unnecessary to use remote controls. To change channels or make any adjustments, viewers just need to speak or nod toward the device. Besides this feature, the devices have an LED screen, digital converter and 3D technology. The product will be sold exclusively at retail chain Fnac and the retailers expectation is that the impact will be similar to that generated by 3D technology. The official launch will also take place on 18 May at the Samsung shop located in the Shopping Morumbi in Sao Paulo.
